Find Houston County Arrests

To look up Houston County arrest records, identify which agency made the arrest and what happened next. The arresting officer creates the incident or arrest report, the county jail creates the booking entry, and a court clerk creates a prosecution file only after charges are filed. GCIC may later connect the Georgia arrest cycle with its disposition. A Houston County arrest lookup therefore works best as a chain, not a single name search. Start with current custody, confirm the arresting agency, request the source report, then check the correct court for the filed result. An arrest record documents an event and custody action. It does not establish guilt.

Houston County Arrest History

Houston County arrests may be made by the Sheriff's Office, Warner Robins Police, Perry Police, Centerville Police, Georgia State Patrol, GBI, campus or school law enforcement with arrest authority, and federal or military authorities in matters tied to Robins Air Force Base. Each arresting agency owns the narrative its officer created. The Houston County Detention Center separately owns booking and custody data.

An arrest history can span several source records. The incident report describes the event and original basis for arrest. Booking records show intake, charges presented, bond, holds, and release. A later court file shows what the prosecutor formally pursued. GCIC's fingerprint-linked history assembles reported Georgia arrest and disposition data. These files can disagree for valid reasons, including amended charges or a delayed court disposition.

The Houston County Sheriff page lists the divisions and direct contact lines involved.

Houston County Booking Search

For a fresh arrest, begin with Houston County Inmate Search and Police2Citizen, reached from the official county site map. The inmate tool focuses on current local custody. P2C can help locate recent police activity and related public information. The county did not identify a separate official booking blotter, and no verified sheriff mobile app was found. Website tools and direct phone lines are the responsible fallbacks.

Search the legal surname first. Add the given name or exact booking identifier to narrow results. A missing profile does not prove no arrest occurred. Release, transfer, spelling differences, intake delay, or a system outage may explain the absence.

The official Houston County portal directory exposes the county's Inmate Search and Police2Citizen links.

Looking Up Houston County Arrests

Use every official channel that fits the stage of the record. Current custody comes first. The agency report comes next. Court records become useful after formal filing, and the sheriff or GCIC can provide a broader Georgia history through the rules that apply to that requester.

  1. Search Houston County Inmate Search or P2C by legal name and note the booking identifier and arresting agency.
  2. Call the Detention Center at 478-218-4900 if the arrest is fresh, the spelling is uncertain, or release or transfer is possible.
  3. Request the incident or arrest report from the named arresting agency, using the date, place, and report number.
  4. Search Superior Court for a felony, State Court for a misdemeanor or county matter, or municipal court for a city citation.
  5. Use the Sheriff's Front Desk history or a subject inspection through GCIC when a broader Georgia record is needed.

The Sheriff's Records Division at 202 Carl Vinson Parkway, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088, takes questions at 478-542-2130 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, excluding holidays. The Front Desk Georgia history is available around the clock for $20 cash in exact change. One's own request requires photo identification; a request about another person requires that person's notarized release.

Houston County Report Custodians

A common local mistake is asking the sheriff for every arrest report. The correct custodian is normally the agency whose officer created the narrative. A Warner Robins Police arrest report should go to that city's official Police Reports and Court Info route. Perry and Centerville records go to their city custodians. Georgia State Patrol uses the Department of Public Safety channel. A GBI-created record goes to the GBI Open Records Unit, subject to active-investigation and other lawful limits.

Describe the event with a date range, location, report number if known, record type, involved names, and delivery preference. Under the Georgia Open Records Act, the agency generally responds within three business days. That is a response deadline, not a promise of full production in three days.

Inside a Houston County Arrest Record

The arrest report and booking profile overlap, but neither replaces the other. A report can hold the event narrative, probable-cause or warrant basis, officers, location, and original offense terms. Booking adds the jail's intake number, photograph and fingerprints, charge entries, bonds, holds, facility status, and release events. Protected victim data, Social Security numbers, medical classification, precise housing, and investigative details should not be expected in the public profile.

Booking numberThe jail identifier for the intake event.
Booking date and timeWhen the person entered county custody.
Arresting agencyThe office that created the arrest report.
ChargesIntake descriptions that may change after prosecutor review.
BondType and amount by count when public and entered.
Booking photographAn official intake image where publication policy allows; it is not proof of guilt.
Release statusRelease, transfer, or current custody information when available.

Do not infer guilt from a photograph or charge label. The public profile does not show the whole investigation, and the prosecutor may file different counts.

Houston County Detention Handoff

The Houston County Detention Center opened in 2002 as a direct-supervision facility. It houses male and female detainees age 17 and older, both before and after trial. A misdemeanor sentence of up to one year may be served locally. A person sentenced on a felony can remain there until the Georgia Department of Corrections receives the person. That handoff explains why a name may leave the county tool and later appear in the state locator.

The facility also handles intake, classification, medical and mental-health needs, transportation, work crews, and other custody functions. PayTel video visitation is a contact service, not a record search. Current schedules, identification rules, and rates should be confirmed with the Detention Center because a complete current schedule was not published.

The Houston County Detention Center page describes its local role and services.

The county description makes clear why local custody includes pretrial detainees, short misdemeanor sentences, and felony transfers.

Booking Logs and Recent Arrests

Houston County links an inmate search and P2C, but research did not locate a separately named official daily booking blotter. The roster is a current-custody aid, not a full arrest archive. Entries may roll off after release or transfer, and a very recent intake may take time to appear. Call 478-218-4900 when the roster lags or identity details are uncertain.

Keep the booking number and arresting agency from a valid match. Those details make the next request more precise. Ask the arresting agency for the report and later search the proper court. The public court file may show formal counts and outcome even after the custody entry disappears.

Note: Absence from a current jail roster does not establish that a person has never been arrested in Houston County.

Houston County to GDC

GDC Find an Offender covers Georgia state custody, not the Houston County pretrial jail population. Search it after a felony sentence and state transfer. The locator accepts name and descriptive details, a GDC identification number, or a case number. GDC advises users to verify online data with its Inmate Records and Information office because status and location can change.

The official GDC Find an Offender page is the correct state locator.

The search is a custody tool, not a substitute for the Houston County arrest report or court disposition.

GDC also explains common limits in its official locator FAQ.

Houston County Arrest Restriction

A dismissed or otherwise qualifying non-conviction arrest may remain visible until Georgia's record-restriction process is completed. Record restriction limits public dissemination; it does not mean every justice-agency copy is destroyed. Houston County's Sheriff processes local restriction requests for $25. If approved, GCIC processing costs another $25 under the county's published route.

Identify each arrest separately. Preserve the arrest date, agency, charge, OTN or SID when known, prosecutor or court result, approved paperwork, and GCIC completion proof. If the court docket is wrong, correct the clerk first. If the source is right but GCIC is stale, use the official disposition with the repository update process. Court-file sealing can require a separate judicial step.

The Sheriff's Warrants and Records page states the local history, reports, warrants, and restriction services.

Arrests Are Not Convictions

A Houston County arrest record proves that an arrest or booking event was recorded. It does not prove a court found guilt. Prosecutors may alter or decline charges. A grand jury can no-bill a proposed indictment. A judge may dismiss a count, and a trial can end in acquittal. The final court disposition must be read separately.

Note: An arrest is not proof of guilt, and many bookings never result in a conviction.
